Sharing BT Vision between rooms

Posted on 18 May 2011 By TV and Tech No Comments on Sharing BT Vision between rooms

Question

I’m going to get BT Vision and use it in my bedroom where the BT Home Hub is. Will I be able to disconnect it from my tv and lend it to my son in the next bedroom so he can watch anything on it if he wants to? We already have a hole in the wall and an ethernet lead into his room for his xbox.

Our Answer

I can’t see why you shouldn’t be able to do that. The BT Vision+ box needs a connection to the Internet to operate, so as long as it’s connected correctly, swapping that one box between two rooms should be OK.

Just make sure you switch the box off before disconnecting it and moving it.
