Question: I have Sky. How do I upgrade to Sky+ ?
The Sky+ and Sky+ HD boxes are what’s known as “twin-tuner” boxes. They have two satellite receivers built in. This allows you to record one satellite channel while you watch another.
A standard Sky box will be a “single tuner” box, with a single cable running to the satellite dish. To use a Sky+ or Sky+ HD box, you need to have two leads running from the dish to the Sky+ box (one for each tuner).
When you order a Sky+ or Sky+ HD box from Sky, an engineer will call to deliver the box and run a second cable from the satellite dish LNB (the bit on the stalk of your satellite dish). The installer will normally follow the same cable run at the existing Sky feed.
To get Sky to install a second feed and your Sky+ HD box, call Sky, or upgrade online at sky.com/shop
Why can’t I get a Sky+ box any more?

Anything else I need to know?
Sky+ is actually a subscription service. If you already subscribe to one of Sky’s packages, you get the Sky+ functionality (record, pause, series link, etc) for free. If you decide to cancel your Sky subscription for any reaso, the SKy+ functionality will also stop. If you want to cancel, but still keep using Sky+, there’s a fee of £10 a month
